The4Ways Performance Psychology Programme

Become the captain of your own ship

The Performance Psychology Programme has been developed through 20 years of psychological work with teams and individuals as well as training and research into the latest psychological and coaching theory. The concept of Optimal Performance State considers the individual cognitive and emotional factors that drive your best performance.

The Performance Psychology Programme consists of ten modules that are delivered monthly across a year. The4Ways principles are embedded throughout the programme. Each module develops key themes around the concept of psychological strength, stamina, flexibility and balance. The following is an overview of the Programme:

  • Self-awareness – taking a good look in the mirror
  • Motivation – developing it intrinsically and in others
  • The relationship between the mind (psyche) and the body (soma)
  • How belief systems block or enhance performance
  • Metacognition – thought watching and management
  • Performance state management
  • Getting the emotional heart rate down
  • Flow states – keeping your mind in the game
  • Pulling yourself together – the concept of the inner team
  • Flexibility and adaptability – dealing with change

One-to-one coaching is recommended alongside the interactive content during which a personalised approach to specific issues raised by individuals can be explored.

"Toughness is in the soul and spirit, not in muscles."
